Resolution for Congress to use government health care

"If it is good for the goose, it should be good for the gander". That is the quote that best describes a resolution introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by congressman John Fleming, MD from Louisiana. Currently Congress members have excellent coverage through a special program for government workers. But Representative Fleming feels if congress wants to push federal health care reform on the American people, then congress should accept it for their health care. Natural ways to prevent mosquito bites

I never realized how many things we do that actually attract mosquitoes to us. Did you know that by having on certain perfumes and lotions you actually attract mosquitoes? How about if you wear dark clothing? Yep, that brings in the mosquitoes. Here is a great article from Carefair.com that tells how to not attract mosquitoes and gives a recipe for a natural insect repelent. (although I am not sure where to get all the ingredients. Frozen Peach Pie

One of my favorite desserts from my childhood was frozen peach pie. My wife made this for a party and our family yesterday and, Oh, it was so good. I thought you would like the recipe. It is great for the hot days of summer (if we ever get any of those).

This is the recipe my mom always made for me as a kid. Enjoy.

Frozen Peach Pie:

2 graham cracker crusts

2 cans of Eagle Brand milk

1 #2 can of sliced peaches (drain and dice) or 2 regular cans of peaches)

1 small container of sour cream

1 large Cool Whip

1/2 cup lemon juice

Combine Milk and lemon juice slowly, then sour cream and peaches. Put mixture into the two crusts and top with cool whip. Freeze and enjoy.

Hotline to reach your state lawmaker about rough roads

We have all driven on roads likes this one. But what can we do about it? Now there is a state wide hotline that gets you to the people in charge. The Michigan Transportation Team has set up a new hotline urging residents to contact their legislator about roads with potholes. And then the line connects you to lawmakers in Lansing to give them a piece of your mind about roads in your area. The Hotline is toll free at 1-888-719-3087.

It is about time someone gives us a direct line to get help with potholes in the road.

As a Christian, it is always great to see new ways to get the Word Of God to more people. Help for the unemployed with prescriptions
