And while kids toys and books that have batteries are required to have a screw on the battery compartment those items that are for adults, like remote controls do not. It is very important that you keep an eye on kids when they are using items that have batteries in them. It can be a very major health hazard for them if they ingest a battery, especially the newer lithium batteries.
