Through a federal program and Assurance Wireless, cellphones and service are now available for low income families in Michigan. The program applies for those at or below 150 percent of the poverty guidelines. The program includes a phone, 200 minutes of service, voice mail and caller ID. The idea behind the program is to allow low income individuals to stay connect to needed services. The program has just started in Michigan and is not available in all areas. Find out more at AssuranceWireless.com or by calling 1-888-898-4888.
